Enjoy viewing and shopping a huge array of artworks, and check out Kids Art Alley for hands-on activities. Admission is free; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in downtown Park Forest.

FAVORITE NATURE EVENT - Tickets for Walk Walton 2022 go on sale today for the event on Oct. 23. The nature fest at Izaak Walton Preserve is a fundraiser for Homewood Science Center. Learn from trail interpreters, create nature based crafts, enjoy Spooky . . .

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

Saturday, Oct. 15

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
