H-F High theater students present children’s play

The Homewood-Flossmoor High Theater Department is presenting the children’s play “Miss Nelson Is Missing!” on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29, 30 and Oct. 1.

Miss Nelson can’t control her grade school classroom because she’s too nice. When she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails substitute teacher Viola Swamp.  As the day of the big test approaches, the students suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson. They’ll do anything to get her back, including hiring a private eye.

This fun story will be presented at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, in the H-F Mall Auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are sold online at hfhs.ticketleap.com/nelson/.

This production is directed by H-F teacher Anne Calderon with technical direction from Tim Tholl, H-F auditorium manager.
