The Hartford Building suffered some damage during a brief but strong storm that came through the area early Monday afternoon.

The building, under construction at the southwest corner of Ridge Road and Martin Avenue in Homewood, lost third-story wall panels along the east side of the building.

Tim Flanagan, co-owner of HCF Homewood, the company that is developing the building, said he was grateful no one was hurt. He said crews shored up the walls in preparation for the storm, but the winds proved too strong.

Flanagan said his team would be assessing the damage on Tuesday.
