Flossmoor promotes Keith Taylor to deputy chief after Clinton Wagner retires

Commander Keith Taylor will immediately fill the role of deputy police chief following the retirement of former Deputy Chief Clinton Wagner. 

Wagner retired effective Aug. 26 after 20 years of service to the Flossmoor Police Department. 

“It has been an honor and a privilege to have worked alongside Deputy Chief Wagner for so many years,” said Police Chief Tod Kamleiter. “His dedication to the residents of Flossmoor and the entire Southland is commendable and he will be missed, but I cannot think of a better individual to serve as deputy chief than Keith . . .

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.
