Add trees at lower cost: Treeshare returns to Homewood Farmers Market in September

The Homewood Tree Committee and the Department of Public Works invites Homewood residents to purchase discounted trees at the Homewood Farmers’ Market on Saturdays, Sept. 10 and Sept. 17, between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m., on Martin Square, between Chestnut and Ridge Roads in downtown Homewood.

Approximately 60 trees will be available to purchase on a first come, first served basis. Homewood residents will need to show proof of residency. An arborist and tree committee members will be present to address any . . .

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.
