A Homewood man has been arrested and charged with two crimes for allegedly perpetrating a shooting that happened on Sunday, April 10.
According to police, Raymond Camp, of the 1400 block of Hillview Road, discharged a firearm around 6 p.m. that night in the street near Hillview Road and Poplar Avenue. They allege he shot a 40-year-old male who was transported to a local hospital with a non-life threatening wound.
Homewood police took Camp into custody at the scene, and on Tuesday, April 12, announced he is charged with one count of aggravated battery with a firearm and one count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
Camp is scheduled to have a bond hearing on Tuesday at the Markham Courthouse. Homewood Police said the shooting was an isolated incident.
