A Riverdale woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday in Homewood.
Kiara Hale, 32, of the 14100 block of South LaSalle Street, was pronounced dead just before 4 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Homewood police and fire units responded to the 18300 block of Harwood Avenue shortly after 3:40 a.m. and discovered a vehicle that appeared to have struck a tree.
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team. Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420.
