A Calumet City man has been arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder for allegedly shooting two people at a Homewood residence.
According to Homewood police, 47-year-old Anton Simmons shot a 22-year-old male and a 42-year-old female at a home in the 1200 block of Jill Terrace on Wednesday, March 16.
Homewood Fire Department staff stabilized the shooting victims and transported them to an area hospital for treatment during the nighttime incident.
Simmons, of the 1100 block of Harding Avenue in Calumet City, is known to the shooting victims, police said.

At a bond hearing on March 19, Simmons was ordered to be remanded without bond. He remains in custody at Cook County Jail.
