Drama Group presents comedy reading Saturday

“Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead,” a comedy about a teenager who questions the afterlife and comes to the very limits of teen angst, will be a staged reading at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Drama Group studio, 330 W. 202nd Street in Chicago Heights.

The story focuses on CB whose dog died of rabies. The event leads to CB questioning the afterlife, but when he turns to his sister and friends for solace, none can help. Through a chance meeting with another student his friends have been bullying, CB discovers the student can offer him peace of mind. Their newfound friendship pushes his teen angst to its limits.

Tickets are free and can be obtained through BookTix. Although the presentation is open to all, free will donations to help cover the cost of the production are being accepted at the website through a donation button.

Attendees will be asked to show proof of vaccination and wear a mask at the performance.
