FABRIC OF ESCAPE ROUTES – There’s still time to sign up for “Pre-Civil War Quilts: Secret Codes To Freedom On The Underground Railroad,” a Zoom program with Flossmoor Library. Scholar Connie Martin describes the origin of the Underground Railroad and slave routes through Illinois counties, and shows codes on quilt patterns that revealed escape routes.
