EDUCATORS JOB FAIR - An Educator's Job Fair featuring more than 12 local school districts is from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at H-F High School. OPEN OUTDOOR SKATE - Take a spin around Flossmoor's outdoor skating rinks at Flossmoor Park during an Open Skate from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. H-F Ice Arena staff will be on site to assist with free skate rentals for adults and kids.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Homewood 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, then follows Ridge Road to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
  • Flossmoor 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High and ends downtown, where there will be fun activities.
