Homewood trustees to consider train station parking kiosk purchase

The old pay boxes at the Homewood train station parking lots appear to be on the way out. On the Homewood Board of Trustees agenda Tuesday, Jan. 11, is a measure to purchase pay station kiosks that would accept credit or debit card payments for parking.

The board also will consider a plan for resurfacing sections of a number of streets this summer and an ordinance authoring the sale of two surplus vehicles.

The board plans to meet in closed session following the regular meeting to discuss the purchase or lease of real property.

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.
