The Flossmoor District 161 Board of Education has discussed commissioning a traffic study to seek improvements for peak arrival and dismissal periods. At the board meeting Tuesday, Jan. 11, the board will consider a motion to approve the $7,500 study.
In other business, the board will consider a staffing plan that would increase the number of teachers in each elementary school.
The board also plans to discuss the playground improvement projects at Heather Hill and Serena Hills schools.
The board plans to convene in closed session following the regular meeting to discuss personnel matters, litigation and collective bargaining.
The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. at Normandy Villa, 41 E. Elmwood Drive in Chicago Heights.
