No people were injured in a home fire at 1320 Jamie Lane late Friday night, but two dogs were lost, according to Homewood Fire Chief Bob Grabowski.
The residents were not home at the time the fire broke out, he said. The call came in just before midnight and crews spent two hours at the scene.
Grabowski said the home was heavily damaged, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
