Sauk Village man charged with robbery, kidnapping

A Sauk Village man was arrested Dec. 1 and has been charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint and armed robbery after an Oct. 14 incident in Homewood, according to Homewood police.

Blaze Pierce, 29, of the 2500 block of 221st Street, allegedly was involved in a verbal argument with the victim. Police said Pierce threatened the victim with a handgun and took two cell phones worth $1,359.

He then allegedly forced the victim into his vehicle and drove to a gas station, where he attempted to make the victim buy gas. When the victim was unable to make the purchase, Pierce fled.
