No injuries in Nov. 26 fire in Homewood

No one was injured in a mid-day fire at a residence in the 18500 block of Hood Avenue on Nov. 26, according to Homewood fire officials.

Chief Bob Grabowski said four people were home at the time but were able to escape the blaze, which caused significant damage to the second floor and attic.

The call came in at 10:58 a.m., he said, and crews returned to the station by 1:30 p.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation . . .
