One alleged suspect of a vehicle theft remained at-large as of 11 p.m. Monday night, as Flossmoor police were aiding in the search to apprehend the person.
According to a press release, including information from the Flossmoor Police Department, a vehicle was stolen from the village of Matteson on the evening of Monday, Nov. 15, and was then chased by police vehicles into the village of Flossmoor.
When the vehicle reached Flossmoor Road and Western Avenue, two suspects fled on foot. One suspect was caught and is currently in custody, police said.
Area police, with the assistance of a helicopter, were searching the surrounding areas for the second suspect.
Police say there is no reason to believe the suspect still at-large is a threat to the public.
The Flossmoor Police Department is continuing to assist in the investigation.
