MAYOR’S HOURS – Flossmoor Mayor Michelle Nelson will be at Village Hall from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday to meet with residents, answer questions and address concerns.
NATURE WALK – Homewood Science Center hosts its annual Walk Walton event from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at Izaak Walton Nature Preserve. This year enjoy a Nature Scavenger Hunt, Explorer Backpack for Kids, Animals in Fall exhibit, Fantastic Fall Trees exhibit, a Pumpkin Patch, and doughnuts and hot drinks. Tickets are $10.
ANYONE CAN PAINT – On Sunday, St. John the Evangelist hosts Art in the Undercroft, encouraging painters of all experience levels to join a two-hour session beginning at 2 p.m. Participants receive paint, canvas and supplies. Contact Gale Michael, Shirley Reilly or Bill Moser to reserve a spot. $40
