Students enrolled in fall semester classes at Prairie State College are eligible for a $200 voucher to purchase school textbooks.
The incentive is made possible through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, commonly known as the CARES Act, approved by Congress.
Registration continues for fall classes. The 16-week session and first 8-week session started Monday, Aug. 23; the 14-week session begins Sept. 7; the 12-week session begins Sept. 17; and the second eight-week session begins Oct. 18.
Once registration is complete, students will receive the voucher by showing their course schedule to the Business Office staff on the main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St, in Chicago Heights. The voucher is good for textbooks at the Barnes and Noble College Bookstore on campus. Vouchers are valued at up to $200 and can be used only towards textbooks.
