COMMUNITY NIGHT - H-F High School hosts a Community Night at H-F Stadium. The event aims to celebrate the school's fall athletes, and visitors can watch a scrimmage by the Viking football team. Admission is free. All members of the H-F community are invited, especially District 233, 153 and 161 families, students, faculty and staff. 6 p.m. Friday

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.
