Members of Homewood-Flossmoor High School’s Leaders In Theatre Ensemble (LITE) will present “Peter/Wendy,” an interpretation on the story of Peter Pan, at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug, 21.
Performances will be in the new Performing Arts Center at the high school, 999 Kedzie Ave. Entry is off the north parking lot.
The production is a lyrical, atmospheric interpretation of the traditional story which playwright Jeremy Bloom has stripped down to its emotional essence. This is a performance for all ages.
Avery Calhoon is featured as Peter and Amy Ward is Wendy, who is lured away from the nursery to the magical world of Neverland where she joins Peter’s adventures with Tinkerbell, played by Grace Opyd; Tiger Lily, played by Anly Flores; and the menacing Captain Hook, portrayed by Marissa Diaz.
They are joined by cast members Jayla Watts, Zosha Schall, Sean Haggerty and Jazmin Rhodes. The production is directed by teacher J.R. Willard-Rose.
