Two teens allegedly stole a grocery delivery person's SUV on Thursday night, then were apprehended a half-mile away by Homewood police.

At about 10 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, a person was delivering groceries to a home in the 1800 block of 187th Street in Homewood, leaving their blue 2021 Nissan Murano running and unoccupied.

According to police, a 14-year-old and a 15-year old entered the vehicle and drove away in it. The alleged victim reported hearing a single gunshot as the vehicle drove away, and Homewood police recovered a shell casing at the . . .
