FREE YOUTH YOGA - During Homewood Farmers Market, children of all ages can enjoy a free 25-minute yoga class inside Homewood Science Center. Kids must be able to stay on their mats. Attend class at either 10:30 or 11 a.m. Saturday. Future classes at the Farmers Market are on Aug. 14, Sept. 11, and Oct. 9.

FOOD FIGHT - Watch chefs cook head-to-head at Battle of the Chefs, a fundraiser hosted by Dunning's Market. The event benefits iCan Dream . . .

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

Saturday, Oct. 15

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
