Versiti Blood Centers is hosting a blood drive April 23 and 24 in honor of Kristin Arielle Oliver, a cancer patient who died in 2020.
The blood drive will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, at Sgt. Means Park, 20712 Western Ave. in Olympia Fields.
Oliver died at age 32 after being diagnosed with a rare heart cancer and undergoing numerous chemotherapy treatments that required blood transfusions. Her family is organizing the blood drive to help others who are in need of . . .
