HOLIDAY CLOSURES - In observance of Independence Day, most government offices are closed today, in addition to banks, post offices, and village halls in Homewood and Flossmoor. No mail today, no garbage pickup for Homewood Disposal customers. Garbage services is delayed one day for the remainder of the week.

ART STUDIO DROP-IN - Bring your work to the Art Studio at Irwin Center and enjoy the company of fellow artists while you create independently. From 5:45 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through July 28. Registration is $5 at the H-F Park District website.
