WASHOUT WEEKEND - The forecast for the next few days calls for severe thunderstorms, including heavy rain. A chance for storms continues into next week. 

MARKET RAINOUT - Due to the predicted rainy weather, the Village of Homewood canceled tomorrow's Farmers Market.

PEE-WEE POSTPONED - In another weather misadventure, GoodSpeed Cycle's Bike-in Movie Night featuring "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" has been postponed to 8 p.m. July 1, outdoors at Rabid Brewing.

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

Saturday, Oct. 15

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
