LGBTQ SCHOLARSHIP The local nonprofit organization Lighthouse LGBTQ has launched what it calls the first LGBTQ-specific scholarship fund in the south suburbs of Chicago, and is accepting donations. With a goal of $5,000, the Lighthouse Scholarship will be awarded to students graduating from Homewood-Flossmoor High School with plans to attend a two- or four-year college.
