Illinois will follow new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance and ease mask requirements for fully vaccinated people, according to an announcement on Monday.
Last week, the CDC offered updated guidelines that allow fully vaccinated people to forego wearing masks in most situations. The agency still recommends that unvaccinated people continue to take preventive measures, such as wearing a mask and practicing social distancing.
