Several contracts for road work and materials were approved with a series of contracts at the Homewood village board meeting Tuesday.
A cooperative bid for concrete work in Alsip, Homewood, Orland Park, Richton Park and South Holland was awarded to Whiteline Construction of Chicago. Cooperative bids usually result in lower costs for individual towns.
Richton Park was the lead municipality on the bid. The work includes sidewalk replacement, curb replacement, road patching and restoration. Whiteline was the lowest of five bidders at $447,609.50, of which Homewood will pay $126,000.You have reached content available exclusively to Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle digital subscribers.
