Flossmoor School District 161 board President Michelle Hoereth was elected on April 6 to the District 233 Board of Education, and that will leave an open spot on the District 161 board.
Hoereth is expected to submit her resignation from the District 161 board on May 3, The board will have 60 days to appoint her successor, according to a statement from the district on Tuesday.
The board is seeking applicants who are interested in being appointed to serve the final two years of Hoereth's term, which will expire after the next consolidated general election on April 4 . . .
