South Suburban College men’s basketball team advances to national tournament

The South Suburban College Men’s Basketball Team defeated Bryant & Stratton College by a score of 82-71 on Friday, April 9, to win the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region-IV Championship.

The Bulldogs were led by sophomore guard Deshawndre Washington's 31 points and 13 rebounds. Sophomore forward Chance Love chipped in 21 points and 12 rebounds, and sophomore forward Tyronn Mosley scored 13 for the Bulldogs. 

Washington was named the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament, and Love was also named to the All-Tournament Team.  Head Coach John Pigatti . . .
