COVID-19 numbers: April 12

In February, we celebrated Black History Month by inviting four local residents representing several generations to discuss their experiences and share their observations as a way to bring Black history to life.

Cook County 6th District Commissioner Donna Miller facilitated a video conference call with Rosalind Henderson-Mustafa and Eugene Dumas, both of Flossmoor, and recent Homewood-Flossmoor High School graduates Destiny Watson and Jazz Jabulani. Marilyn Thomas wrote the cover feature story capturing the conversation.

  • Pride Party at the Flossmoor Community Church Community House, 847 Hutchison Road in Flossmoor. The family-friendly event will have food, music and other entertainment from 5 to 8 p.m.
