District 233 board gets two new members

Homewood-Flossmoor High School will have two new board members. Voters selected Michelle Hoereth and Cynthia Turnquest to serve four-year terms on the board with incumbent Steve Anderson, board president, who was re-elected.

The trio won in a hard-fought campaign that saw the defeat of incumbents Beth Larocca and Annette Bannon, who were elected in 2017.

Anderson was the top vote-getter in the April 6 election with 3,332 votes or 20.63%, followed by Turnquest with 3,195 votes or 19.78% and Hoereth with 3,186 votes or 19 . . .
