Artists who have utilized Homewood’s Cancer Support Center’s art therapy program displayed their artwork at the Cancer Support Center during an evening program Nov. 30.
In the art therapy program, participants make artwork either on site at the Cancer Support Center or at their homes. Kathleen Daily, clinical program director and art therapist, described art therapy as “another way to cope with cancer without necessarily needing to talk about cancer.”
A range of artwork was on display. Cheryl Jones’ work was textile art. At least two of the artists had visual impairments, according to art therapist and Program . . .
