When the District 233 school board members meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, they will be announcing the appointment of a superintendent-elect for the 2021-22 school year. That person will succeed Superintendent Von Mansfield when he retires in June 2022.
The school board has been working since December with BWP & Associates, an educational search firm, to find the best candidate. The firm accepted resumes from more than 20 educators interested in the job and selected finalists to be interviewed by the school board.
The search firm also did online informational surveys with residents, held meetings with school board members, parents, staff, administrators and students to glean enough input on what the community wanted from the next superintendent.
The school board had its final interviews with the candidates via Zoom on Wednesday, March 10.
The Tuesday meeting is available via Zoom through the school website hfhighschool.org. For audio via phone call 312-626-6799 and use webinar ID 965 6943 3694 with passcode 346422.
