H-F student government hosts two Trivia Night events

Play against each other, play yourself or get the whole family to join Trivia Night.

Sponsored by the Homewood-Flossmoor High School student government, the two virtual trivia contests start at 7 p.m. over Zoom. The first event on Saturday, March 20, covers H-F topics, including history, sports, 2020, music, movies and entertainment. The second event on Saturday, April 17, will follow a Disney theme.

Each team will need to designate someone as captain who will be responsible for submitting the team answers via a Google form. Teams can be six or fewer players. Team members don’t need to be in the same location. Zoom breakout rooms will give teammates a chance to interact during the game.

The Trivia Night event will have eight rounds of 10 questions per topic. The event is free and open to the H-F community. Registration is required

“Student government officers wanted to create something that can engage our community,” said teacher Brian McLaughlin, student government sponsor. “Our student officers wanted to have something for all the families of our community to have a fun night together. It’s been a difficult time, so we hope this night will be fun for everyone.”

“I’m most excited for the students. They are trying to find ways to engage our student body and community,” McLaughlin added. “Being remote this school year has been difficult for everyone. We hope these Trivia Nights will be an opportunity where we can just put away our worries about everything going on and enjoy some time with family and friends, with some fun.”

McLaughlin can answer any questions at [email protected].
