H-F school board narrows list of superintendent candidates

The District 233 school board will be interviewing finalist candidates the week of March 8 as it moves toward filling the superintendent’s job at Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

Superintendent Von Mansfield will be retiring in June 2022. The person who will follow him is being hired to begin work in July 2021 as superintendent-elect and serve with Mansfield for a year’s transition period. Mansfield has been superintendent for 13 years. He was H-F principal for seven years before that.
