Trustee Diane Williams reflects on years of Flossmoor service, collaboration, achievement

After 16 years as an elected official for the Village of Flossmoor, Trustee Beverly Diane Williams will wrap up her final term this spring.

Williams, 71, who commonly goes by Diane, was first elected as a trustee to the Flossmoor Village Board in April 2005 and has served in that role ever since, winning her seat again in 2009, 2013 . . .

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

  • Dia de los Muertos in downtown Homewood. Details to follow.
