H-F stocks up on snow

Homewood Assistant Village Manager Napoleon Haney is moving on but not very far.

Haney started Oct. 1 as village administrator in Olympia Fields, Homewood's neighbor to the south.

Village Manager Jim Marino announced Haney's departure at the Sept. 28 Board of Trustees meeting. He thanked Haney for his four years of service to the village.

Fall events

Saturday, Sept. 24

  • Homewood Fall Fest and Chili Cook-off, noon to 9 p.m. Chili tasting is open to the public for a donation from 3 to 5 p.m. Three live music performances, plus horse-drawn wagon rides, a pumpkin patch, crafts and other activities.

Saturday, Oct. 15
