COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP – Several $1,000 college scholarships are available for high school seniors, provided by General Federation of Women’s Clubs Illinois. Scholarships are open to students studying art, drama, music, vocational trades, or health and wellness at a university or college in Illinois. Apply by March 15 at www.gfwcillinois.org.
HYDRANTS FOR PIZZA – Homewood residents have a chance to win a free Aurelio’s pizza, in a contest sponsored by the restaurant and Village of Homewood. Clear snow from around a fire hydrant in your neighborhood, and send a photo of you doing it to the village through a message on Facebook or Instagram. You’ll be entered into a drawing for a free pizza. The winner will be notified on Friday.
