FLOSSMOOR FREE TREES - Flossmoor residents can apply to participate in the Fall 2021 tree planting program. If their space is approved, the tree will be planted for no charge in the parkway by their homes by village public works staff and volunteers of the Flossmoor Green Commission. Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
