Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle issued an executive order on Friday, Aug. 20, that will require all county employees to be vaccinated against the virus that causes COVID-19 by Oct. 15.
The order affects employees in the under Preckwinkle's jurisdiction, but she urged separately elected offices to follow suit.
