A Chevrolet Cruze sedan collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV in the intersection at 183rd Street and Governors Highway on Sunday afternoon, according to Homewood Police.

According to Homewood Deputy Chief Denise McGrath, shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 22, a person was driving the 2017 Chevy Cruze westbound on 183rd Street toward Governors Highway. 

The driver of the Cruze proceeded to make a left turn onto southbound Governors Highway when it crashed into a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer headed eastbound on 183rd Street, McGrath said. 

The driver of the Chevy Cruze was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injury, McGrath said, adding that traffic citations are pending in the case.
