H-F High School serves 65 students on campus

Homewood-Flossmoor High School brought 65 students back to campus the week of Nov. 16 to assist them in meeting the needs of remote learning.

Jennifer Rudan, multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) coordinator, told the District 233 school board Planning Committee that the students will get special assistance from 30 mentors. Each of the mentors, drawn from H-F staff, will be working with two or three students on a weekly basis to help them overcome the root causes of why they struggle.

Rudan said the number of volunteer mentors has staff “repurposing ourselves . . .
