Are you hungry just as the school day starts? Missing lunch period in the cafeteria? Finding nothing at home to eat?
Homewood-Flossmoor High School students can get free breakfast and lunch meals, courtesy of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
Meals are available to all students, regardless of income. Students can pick up meals at H-F’s North Building-Door A on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. On Mondays, students will get meals for two days and on Wednesdays the pick up is for three meals.
Meals vary. Breakfast may include a bagel, muffin, cold cereal, pancakes and yogurt with a serving of milk and fruit. The lunches can be hot entrees or cold sandwiches served with either a fruit or vegetable and milk.
Students with questions about the program can call the H-F business office at 708-335-5506, or email [email protected].
