Registration on for virtual Foundation 153 Fund Run

Registrations are being accepted through Sept. 22 for the Homewood Schools Foundation 153 “virtual” Fund Run.

The race fees and donations underwrite the foundation’s financial support for teacher initiatives. The 2019 race raised funds for District 153 STEM labs.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 10th annual run at James Hart School will not be conducted. Instead, runners are asked to go out the week of Oct. 12, record their times for a 5K run and submit their numbers for prizes.

The registration fee is $25 per person. Registrants will receive a T-shirt and a pedometer. Registrations are being accepted at foundation153.org. For those who miss the deadline, Foundation 153 volunteers will make packets available for late registrants a few days ahead of race time.

In addition, volunteers are organizing fun activities, including a scavenger hunt and a shared community music playlist.
