Meet the District 233 Board of Education candidates

On April 6, 2021, Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 voters will select Board of Education members. The Chronicle, in partnership with Bionic Content and with support from local sponsors, interviewed five of the seven candidates (one candidate was unavailable and one could not be contacted). Candidates shared their views on the relationship between the board and district administration, about transparency and about what they see as the biggest challenges the district faces.

Summer events

Monday, July 4

  • Homewood 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, then follows Ridge Road to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
  • Flossmoor 4th of July parade. Starts at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High and ends downtown, where there will be fun activities.
