Homewood trustees to consider measure allowing outdoor dining during pandemic

Cabin fever is a common affliction during late winter, and after a year of pandemic limitations on top of it, this year the feeling of social claustrophobia might be worse than usual.

Homewood Arts Council wants to help.

Summer events

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
