Coping with COVID: May 10

A good day and good trends. Gov. J.B. Pritzker has been quick to caution people not read too much into daily swings in COVID-19 statistics, urging instead attention to longer term trends. On Sunday, though, the daily numbers and trends seem to be going in the right direction. The day saw the fewest new cases in the state, 1,656, since April 21. It was only the third time since then that new cases have been under 2,000, but it was the third day in a row that they dropped.
