Sense of togetherness as H-F families, businesses work through limits

The first winter weather advisory of the season will go into effect this afternoon and extend to Wednesday morning. 

Snow is expected to begin this afternoon, mainly after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. The chance of precipitation is 90%, but accumulation should be less than half an inch.

Then overnight, snow will likely turn to freezing rain and sleet before 3 a.m., then rain, possibly mixed with freezing rain between 3 and 4 a.m., then rain after 4 a.m. 

Winds will pick up to 10 to 20 mph with gusts . . .
